N•Focus Design, Inc. believes that successful projects are a combination of careful planning, thoughtful design, and intricate engineering detail combined into one carefully integrated process.  Furthermore, our team combines its experience in both public and private sector projects to the benefit of the client.

 

Over the last seven years the team has grown, but the mission has remained the same.  Design projects that exceed the expectations of everyone involved and create places that become a beacon for community, art and lifestyles that fit 21^st century values.  We realize that a project needs to be thought out from the 20,000 foot view all the way down to the front row seat.  How does a place tie into the region as an economic player? Our Process

 

N•Focus Design draws its strength from the interplay of three strong perspectives on site development and enhancing the place-making experience.

 

Planning focuses on external factors and long-term use.  How the project relates to the area around it, the people that will be using it and the existing infrastructure can help predict issues and improve opportunities.  Locations and places grow into the community around them, becoming an organic part of the lifestyle and commerce. Planning also manages project implementation, ensuring that the plans are carried out to the specifications and that all work is done with the proper quality.  This level of service is largely unheard of in our arena, and we believe the end product is a telling example of the difference our hands-on approach makes.

 

             Design makes the location a work of art, a memorable experience, and a place to call home; however, budgets and fiscal responsibility are examined to determine both sound investments and unnecessary costs.  By incorporating design through the entire project, it is possible to create a site with a unified feel and charm.  As all of the aspects of the project reflect a larger vision, it is possible to create a sense of wholeness to a place.  The interaction with the external and existing factors, as well as the inspiration for the internal layout, means that the finished site easily becomes a part of the surrounding area.  Design also helps our clients realize their dream and puts it into practice.  Through a charette process, we help everyone understand dynamically and visually what the final product will look like.  Using these techniques, we can merge the expectations of our client with the reality of the site.

 

             Engineering is grounded in reality.  Every project that is planned and designed by N•Focus Design can be built.  By overcoming the challenges unique to each piece of property, we are able to make projects happen.  N•Focus Design also coordinates and supervises all other professional services on the project.  By double checking the work that is done and communicating with the supporting teams such as geotechnical, surveying and municipal governments, we ensure that there are no conflicts or misunderstandings that can set a project back or create unnecessary issues.
