Planning Position(s):

PLANNING ASSOCIATE III/IV

N•Focus Design is seeking level P-III/P-IV urban planner(s) with a minimum two years of experience specifically within municipalities in either North Carolina or South Carolina. The successful candidate(s) will work on projects including, but not limited to: annexation, land use planning, urban design, and/or zoning for municipal clients in the Carolinas. Basic computer skills and specialized knowledge with the ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows Internet Explorer required. Successful candidate(s) must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.

Civil Engineering Position(s):

N•Focus Design is seeking level E-II/E-III engineer(s) with a minimum two years of experience. The successful candidate will work on multidiscipline projects ranging from preliminary through full permitting for all aspects of civil/land development design including but not limited to zoning, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, storm water quality and detention, flood studies, sanitary sewer, potable water, street and roadway design. Basic computer skills and specialized knowledge with the ability to operate AutoCAD 2004 & 2006 LDT required. Successful candidates must be able to use LDT to create grading plans, roads, cross sections, profiles as well as use basic AutoCAD commands for preparation, modification and manipulation of drawings.

E-III/E-IV

N•Focus Design is seeking level E-III/E-IV engineer(s) with a minimum five years experience. The successful candidate will work on water and wastewater projects to independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems. More specific responsibilities include engineering/process design, project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, establish appropriate design methods, report preparation, equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the client. Additional responsibility to conduct quality control reviews of completed designs required. North Carolina Professional Engineering license required. Basic computer skills and specialized knowledge with the ability to operate AutoCAD 2004 required.
